So it does sound like there's a problem with the dual regulator. BTW, I replaced my doorside regulator and pigtail today. You might consider replacing both at the same time.

Having a regulator at the tank drops the pressure before the propane goes across the RV. I think to eliminate the regulator, you'd have to replace the hose with iron pipe.
